We start our autumn fundraising with an afternoon concert on Sunday 20th September,

 2.00 pm at St. Matthew’s Church, Leyburn. The event is ‘Pay What You Can Afford’

(Suggested donation £10). Tea and Cake and a bar serving Beer and Wine will be available.

The concert is presented by Leyburn Jazz Festival ahead of the main Festival weekend which runs Thursday 15th to Sunday 18th October. This will be the sixth jazz festival which offers another varied selection of performances including Orchestra Mambo International, Steely Jazz, Alexia Gardner and The Roaring Twenties band to name a few. As a charity, there are lots of volunteering opportunities from everyday office tasks to stewarding at events. Through the summer months up until the Jazz Festival, the brochure is distributed by a dedicated team of volunteers - it’s a big job. We distribute in Wensleydale, Coverdale, Swaledale, Wharfedale, Leyburn, Richmond, Bedale, Hawes, Harrogate, Masham, Northallerton, and Darlington. If you would like to take on responsibility for a particular town or area, we’d love to hear from you.

Discover the infectious rhythms of Latin America at our FREE, family-friendly workshop with Orchestra Mambo International. Taking place on Saturday 17 October at 10.30 am, this fun and interactive session is open to people of all ages and abilities, whether you play an instrument, love music, or simply want to try something new. Booking is advisable.

 Tickets £1 each - proceeds support our core activities.
