All our posts are designed to support you in growing your career and employability. You might already be doing work and volunteering which is supporting this so we offer freelance contracts with flexible hours to fit in with other commitments you might have.
We offer office and/or home working arrangements. To get the most out of the experience being an integral part of the team in person will help, but we understand that we are based in rural North Yorkshire so this might not be a practical solution.
Recruiting is on a rolling basis until the available posts are filled unless otherwise stated in an advert.
We want to make applying with us as easy as possible. We are happy to arrange to have an informal chat and decide which placement might be a good opportunity for you.

We are seeking to provide quality work placements over six to twelve months for young people who are aged between 16 and 25 years old. If you identify as Disabled, the age range could be extended.

You will also support the organisation to deliver its annual programme of festivals, events and activities for all ages.
Each role will be a minimum of 416 hours of paid work - an average of one day per week over a six to twelve month period.
The application process is open now and submissions will be considered on a rolling basis, subject to available vacancies.
There will be three stages to the recruitment process:

3) If selected, candidates will be invited to attend a relaxed interview. This will be in person or a video call with representatives from our Trustees and Youth Voice Steering Group.
Each candidate will be considered on their own merits in the order applications are received.

Leyburn Jazz Festival is produced by BlueBoxt Creative and Performing Arts. The Festival takes place annually in October and attracts over 1,000 artists and audience members throughout the four-day festival. The Festival is currently organised entirely by volunteers and aims to bring world class jazz to the Yorkshire Dales and to leave a lasting legacy of learning and performance opportunities and experiences for local people of all ages. Without a huge contribution of time and effort from volunteers, Leyburn Jazz Festival would not be able to attract the calibre of artists that come to play for us at the ticket prices we are able to offer. To ensure everyone has the best time possible, we are seeking to grow our dedicated team of volunteers. There are various roles to fill - they are not all listed here so do get in touch and have an informal chat to find out how you can help support us.
